After the various onslaught of that I consider ridiculous endeavours to assimilate into the society, I took some time to think about what I consider and what I seek to  uncover: The truth.

Sometimes, as I ponder what is the truth, I like to comment on how they all seem to have a common effect: They sear. The day you realise Santa Claus does not exist; the day you realise your family is a power struggle; they day you realise you are (not) alone; the day you realise she’s been treating you as merely ” a good friend” ( oh, I chuckled on this one, talk about the supposedly 2 r/s ladders of a girl)

As we continue to delve deeper onto the truth,we often see the bleaker aspects on life. I was reading a book on the adventures of Wisely a few weeks back, and one of the most striking things in the novel was the assumption of everyone that the act of aliens visiting Earth would spell the doomsday of humanity. What is important here is not whether aliens will invade us or not; rather, its the ability to accept the truth ( which is currently uncertain) that humans are not the most technologically advanced creature in the universe. What an obnoxious, arrogant race we all are.

As I find out more and more fragments of the truth; as they sear, or rather gash, my heart again and again as I continue to relentlessly pursue such an upstart, foolish aspect, I wonder how much more of a mental strength I need to absorb the world’s truth – the world’s pain. Talk about claiming to be emotionally hard. Ha!

3 years ago, I’d scoff at people cutting and performing self mutilation, claiming they are dumb and the likes. It ws this afternoon, that I realised why: Because I rather draw the pain to my hand and allow it to hurt than let the numbing, throbbing pain continue deep in my inner conscience that I can do nothing of.

Not that I’d try self mutilation though.

Sometimes, We try so hard just to get something very simple…

As I continued to do the integration questions, I got increasingly frustrated at myself for how I never get the correct answer one after another. At that very point, I was teaching people about Sec4 Organic Chemistry, which i did it so effortlessly as though I was eating hazelnut chocolates ( Interestingly,hazelnut goes better with chocolates than almonds, cashews, Raisins or Macademias)

It was suddenly at that point where i felt the sense of ….. darkness.

What will happen if  I couldn’t get calculus right? What about Chemistry and Biology then? What about Literature then?

I took a look at some of the blogs of the senpais and peers, they’re always esoterically filled with happy events and interesting posts.

It struck me too see how they are coping so well, It’s as if they’re dealing with it as easy as eating hazelnut chocolates.

And here I am, struggling with the basics. Here I am.

Sometimes I wonder if I am overrating myself, If my aim of Imperial was all talk and bull, If i can even survive. If  I’m just another sacrifice of the world like Angie and Joyce.

All of a sudden, I feel so alone and helpless that I can feel my heart crying. I get this impression I may need to see a doctor in woodbridge soon.

Soon, I think I’ll start feeling the tears on my eyes too, instead of my heart. It’s shameful to see how the one who used to call himself the emperor to fall into such a muddy swamp just trying to even stay afloat. It really is…saddening.

When you’re disempowered, you start to wonder if you can even win fate and its never ending cycle of eugenics and culture capital in the first place.

考试中如此失败，自然是需要反省的。 难得三位老师斥责我，还不知该高兴有人关心我，还是要伤心自己考试成绩欠佳。

I planned to go on a major hiatus on my blog since I ran out of steam for a bit to ponder about interesting issues of life these days ( I worry more about what a 17 year old should worry, like my face, how i’m not getting any olympiads and my As for some unknown reason), but since Joshua had to ask me to stop hiatusing, I should. But well, I’m lazy, so I shall do this animeblogging style, with captions and pictures this time round. Day 1

-1st day at the hall with the bags still outside-

Holy hell. The girl in charge of us looks like some senior I APed in sec 1. GREAT. and the guy behind me looks stone.GREAT. I’m so like dead. I wonder how I can survive 5 days here when I hate talking to strangers.

WTF? I HATE ICEBREAKER GAMES! WHAT? We’re playing the game where you have to remember names? I suck at names!  I’ll just remember some simple names so I can win. zzz. Ok, so there’s this wesley and this Daniel and a Gabriel…and some guy in charge of us with the ridiculous name Philologus and some weird girl called Sam who looks like a butch. GREAT!!

~ No pics were taken in the second day as it was real boring with a gazillion speeches and LT presentations. By the end everyone was probably brain dead and no one probably had the mind to play or camwhore. However, RV’s presentation was quoted as ” presented by a row of kids” by Edna zeh and ” very cute” by Resh zeh. Oh, and its ridiculously hot to wear blazers for lunch cos it was buffet. Weaving Quilts at night was torturous as Wilson is not inclined at the arts, and has only 2 days to finish his work since he wasted the 1st day rehearsing his presentation for n times. ~

Day 3

- Philo cam whoring at 6am in the morning on day 3 -

DAMN why do breakfast suck so much in Pre U Sem? They either serve u crap nasi lemak ( as seen behind) or chiffon cakes which taste so dry and unpalatable. And holy eff why are so many people bringing in canned coffee from the vending machine? People in Pre U all have high caffeine diets man -.-

DAMN I’ve got a real bad gastric pain thanks to the amount of coke zero i drank last night cos the dorm was so damn stuffy and hot. Thank god I brought cimetidine or I would have died of pain. I hope I can survive the sentosa trip before i die! ORZ

~ Everyone started confessing their sins in the pantry on day 4.  Highlights shockingly include:

1. Everyone thought Philo was dao, Sam was a butch and Wanxin is very passive.

2. Wanxin resorted to cheap thrills by hiding herself in a cupboard scaring wtf out of everyone in her section of the dorm.

3. The girls ambushed on other girls taking pictures of them straight off out of the shower. ( NO. I AM NOT POSTING SCANDALOUS PICS HERE after the seameo incident LOL)

4. That wanxin pulled her hair forward and started scaring everyone by walking in a zombie-like manner in the dorm corridor.

5. Yiwen and co. drank wilson’s 1.5L coke zero and filled it up with tap water. Wilson got uber pissed and left a menacing note full of profanities in the fridge.

6. Wanxin slaps her own head in the corridor to regain composure and act passive O.o

7. There was supposedly a haunted room opposite of our block, and there are frightening stories about it.

8. That a whole lot of people cried that we’re going home tomorrow at some point or another.

Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy is a concert tour featuring music from the Final Fantasy video game series that began touring on December, 4 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden. It is aimed to become a worldwide tour and one of its stops was Singapore. By sheer luck, I was able to get a ticket on it at a fairly cheap price apart from various minor disturbances with the seating place. But yeah, It was definitely one of the best concerts that I went to.

I managed to get a T-Shirt with its imprints in the sale outside the hall, and I do intend to amazon the cd once i get my debit card since they amazingly ran out of CDs 20 minutes into the sale ( zzz no more Uematsu Signature). But here are the highlights of the show below ( with youtube videos!)

Highlights

1) Liberi Fatali ( VIII)

The opening of Final Fantasy VIII, Liberi Fatali was used in the Olympics 04 as a synchro-swimming piece by USA. In short, the lyrics is somewhat a hymn of some sort calling upon the children of fate to ascend into the world. Being a fanatic of VIII since It was technically my first game, I have listened to Liberi Fatali for dozens of time, and it was replicated in the exact same way as I heard it a long time ago that very day. Its impactful and refreshing style was a very great Ouverture.

2.  To Zanarkand ( X )

Nowadays, Its hard to find FF Fans that are young, simply because a lot of these games have been released while we are like kindergarten or Primary schools. ( VII was produced in 97, VIII in 99 and X in 01). While VIII was my 1st offical FF game, I must say the 1st FF song i liked was this one from Final Fantasy X. I first chanced upon this song looking for a decent song in my neopets shop in 04, and I did fell in love with this song for quite a long time ( the other being melody of life from IX). To date, It has retained its dramatic sense of emotion and a tinge of sadness. Even though I couldn’t get X to work on a ps2 emulator ( It demanded insane amounts of memory and ram which my laptop couldn’t feed), I still like this song, a representation of my lost childhood i suppose.

3.  Aerith’s Theme ( VII)

I’ve been trying to do a run of VII-VIII-IX recently, I am still currently at end disc I where Aerith is semi dying. So this song does vaguely ring in my ears somewhat; I didn’t really know what it was until i listened a bit though. Even so, this theme was done brilliantly well in the sense that it had a cute feel to it in spite of being emotional. It’s just a little naivety in a country girl; a tone very befitting of Aerith, She can be cute too I suppose, just that I do prefer Tifa more.

4.Ronfaure ( XI )

If i wasn’t wrong, this was a newly added piece in the SIngapore show, hence I had to show u a version from the Tour of Japon instead, not that the quality is any worse. Now, Many people didn’t really know there was a FF XI at all, and since it was a Pay to play MMO, I didnt really had the cash to do so. But, I was very very impressed by Ronfaure as a whole. It was a very alive piece of music, with a little melancholy yet sense of hope. I wouldn’t advise you to play XI though, I heard this game world of Vana Diel is so insane you have to literally not have a life to even get an okay rank.

5. Opening – Bombing Mission (VII)

I couldn’t show you a recording this time because everyone filmed a substandard version of it. But Right after the intermission i was jolted awake again. It’s quite amazing that the people on the stage can make this as real as the original opening like Liberi Fatali, and I wasn’t even a big fan of this song mind you. Its starts slow at first, but it intensifies and then suddenly spirals like the end, just like things going back in a full circle. I liked that.

6.  Fisherman’s Horizon (VIII)

I’ve always liked FH. It was a very underrated piece, to the point I only realised it after a program called VOD in a maternal cousin’s house in Medan. I grew to like it for its sheer simplicity and beauty, as i really liked songs that are simple and clean. This version is different in that they have done the similar tune in a new style,and the choir backing the tune up was a very great way of boosting the melody, as this song was a very melody based song. I was very touched by this song overall.

7. Memoro de la Stono (XI)

I didn’t want to show substandard piece again; this one had lyrics. Except for the fact that the vocalist was terrible,horrible and incorrigible in the Singapore tour unlike the one in this youtube video, I actually liked this song a lot too, as I found the Lyrics quite meaningful in a sense. Note that the actual lyrics start halfway in the song.

8. Love Grows( VIII)

Since Faye wasn’t there to sing Eyes on Me, they did an instruemntal version of it which was labelled as Love Grows in the game. Thank god they did, having the stupid soprano to sing eyes on me would kill the song. Personally, I like this because I am a fan of the game and a fan of the song, and I know it has this original taste of eyes on me inside. I’d imagine it wouldn’t be popular though.Then again, I never go with the flow.

9. One Winged Angel(VII)

The final encore of the concert. I was pretty shocked when I didn’t see this in the brochure, because this song is so famous you can’t call yourself a FF fan if you have never heard it before. The anguish of Sephiroth was portrayed very strongly in the song, I suppose the choir did a very good job here. What a great way to end the concert I say!

I’ve realised that it is impossible to write this faithful post with my ordinary persona and perception of thought, simply because my interior contruction has be crippled from the inside this time round, and I do not feel the reconstruction of my inner psyche is going to proceed fast enough.

Ihave no areas to talk about, but i want to talk. For once, I want to reach out for 5 seconds, and tell people,

“PLEASE SAVE ME”

solely because it is wilson controlling wilson now. Given any of my other personas, I know none of them will do so. They have been personally programmed by me to survive, and to deciminate. The most they might do is lose their cool; but it will take more than them to break down like that.

It’s weird to see how humans are actually so fragile. It’s funny to see how we can present so many facets of life onto this world.

I once throught I had many faces, until it dawned on me on one fine CHAMPS lesson.
